We've fallen head over heels for Penguin's Great Food Series, a collection of 20 volumes with excerpts from 'the finest food writing in the past 400 years'.

Not only does the collection share some beautiful food history and recipes from the past four centuries, but each book boasts some seriously covetable cover art. Clearly, Penguin knows the way to our hearts is through our stomachs and our design-hungry eyes.

We're imagining the pretty colour blocked spines sitting quite comfortably in our kitchen!
