Online Obsessed!

We're finding ourselves buying more and more online! Our latest online loves (influenced by Natalie Bloom) were these irresistible plates by one of her favourite French illustrators Nathalie L'Ete. Our Natalie picked them up from Anthropologie after she was tempted by one of our recent blog posts sharing the good news that Anthropologie are now shipping globally. These plates have made mealtimes all that bit more inspiring and enjoyable.
Don't forget that Bloom is also available online and shipping is FREE for all orders over $40.

Feed Your Skin

We’re firm believers in the saying, ‘You are what you eat’.
Glowing, luminous skin starts from the inside out, so here’s our wrap-up of six super foods that should make it onto your next shopping list:

1. Coconut Water
2. Avocado
3. Blueberries
4. Wild Salmon
5. Mangoes
6. Spinach

Coconut Water
The health world is buzzing about Coconut Water – and for good reason! This natural source of cytokinins (a group of plant growth hormones that help regulate cell growth), potassium, antioxidants and lauric acid, balances pH levels, strengthens and hydrates connective tissues and promotes smoother skin.

Avocado
Rich in Vitamin C and E as well as omega-3 fatty acids, Avocadoes are ideal for keeping skin plump and youthful and preventing dryness.

Blueberries
Blueberries are an antioxidant powerhouse that help the body manufacture collagen for soft, supple skin. In fact, recently the US Department of Agriculture compared 40 common fruits and vegetables and ranked blueberries as number one in terms of antioxidant activities.

Wild Salmon
Wild– not farm raised – salmon is one of the best food sources for omega-3 fatty acids that help limit water loss in skin cells and keep skin supple.

Mangoes
While Mangoes are high in antioxidants, it’s their Vitamin A content that makes them standout. Without enough Vitamin A in your diet, skin may appear drier and dull. Vitamin A is important for cell repair and contributes to better oxygenation of the tissue.

Spinach
Popeye was onto something! Spinach – and other green leafy vegetables like cabbage, kale and watercress – are high in Vitamins A, B, C and E; mineral iron and antioxidants that are essential for keeping your blood healthy and skin bright.
